It is finally Friday! So ready for a relaxing weekend spent putting together our new home. We just moved in! I will be wearing these Prada sandals day and night. They are a recent acquisition and have quickly become my go-to shoes! This heel height is perfect. I love how cute they look with a sloppy sweater and boyfriend jeans. Wearing Prada buckle slingback sandals with a cable knit turtleneck and vintage boyfriend jeans. Here wearing the sandals with an 80s trench dress while taking my
I picked up this 1950s Suzy Perette dress I found at the flea market I went to last week. I have read a few places that Suzy Perette was on of the few companies licensed to reproduce some of Dior’s “New Look” patterns, but I can’t find any verification of this rumor! The dresses they produced in the 1950s were exquisite. One of my very favorite Texas-born designers Victor Costa went on to work under the Suzy Perette label in the late sixties/early seventies. I get very
How to take a gold metallic pleated skirt into night. Clue: It’s something you are probably already doing… So you go from polo neck ninja and Adidas… … To strappy heels. No big thing but it still surprises how changing the shoe takes something from casual to semi-elegant. Coat: Sandro. Jumper: Forever21 (love). Skirt: Reiss. Similar from Ralph Lauren or Topshop’s printed version. Socks: Topshop. Heels: Steve Madden. Trainers: Adidas. Bag: Celine (another
I’m guessing that like me, a lot of you are major fans of HonestlyWTF. Their site is a daily stop for me when I’m looking for inspiration in the morning. I’m always referring to their site and Pinterest boards for DIY and interior direction! It was love at first site when I saw their collaboration with Teva. These flatforms I’m wearing are a customized DIY from the HonestlyWTF x Teva kit! Each pair comes with a DIY kit including Swarovski crystals you can apply yourself. So

I got this navy shift dress in Seoul a few years ago, I still wear it all the time. I love putting billowy peasant blouses underneath as a contrast to it’s structured shape! Happy Friday! Hope you all have had a wonderful week and are enjoying the beginnings of fall. I’m very excited to trade in my sandals (finally) for ankle boots as fall reluctantly sets in here in Texas. It happens that J, Crew offered me the chance to test-drive their new fall styles for boots, which I happily took them up on! I recently spent a few days in Indianapolis with my boyfriend to visit his family. I needed the perfect shoes to carry me through three days of cold and wet weather.
Sticking to the classics with a slight twist. Lurex top: Mens H&M. Skirt: Topshop (try this pink one). Boots: Topshop. Bag: Vintage. Shades: Ray-Ban Wayfarers in leather: Available at Sunglass Hut. London Fashion Week ended earlier this month and I have to say that I miss London!! I need to cross the pond pronto. Ray-Ban’s always make me think of the place being they are a nod to punk without being literal. These ones are leather which is an update to the usual foldables
While I was in New York last week, I went to Beacon’s Closet in Brooklyn and picked up this amazing vintage leather shift. Based on the zippers and structure, I’d say it is from the early 70s. What a great find and such a good piece for easing into fall! I wore it over jeans and with a poet blouse underneath earlier this week as well. I love when I love a vintage find so much I have to wear it for a few days non-stop… Wearing leather shift dress with Club Monaco striped tee,
