Tagliatore camel coat – Absolutely stunning. Vince wool stripe turtleneck – a classic that can be worn as is or as a layering piece Bao Bao Issey Miyake tote – still love this bag and it’s literally trendless Topshop wide leg culottes – I’ve seen these in person and they have a beautiful weight and cut. Uniqlo Chester coat – A beautiful simple cut. H&M fine knit turtle neck – probably the most basic of all winter pieces. Topshop Dree silver

It’s that time of year and trust me, I’ve been doing mental lists for weeks. The above is my first official sharing of fall favorites in my brain. There’s way more but let’s take this in stages shall we? I made a point of mixing leathers, satins (that red satin skirt is a must and under $20), suedes and cozy knits. Any combination of the above work together or you can pick out one or two to slide right into your existing end of summer wardrobe. ps. Watch out for next
I have gone completely bonkers for badass spring dresses this past few weeks. I was going to say days but that would be lying. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good pair of old Levi’s with a basic t-shirt, but this is different. It’s even easier. It’s five minute dressing requiring minimal coordination and minimal hassle, add an easy spring bag (wicker?) and simple spring flats or wedges and you are out the door. Here are a few of my current faves. Some are high
The first wave of Memorial Day sales have kicked in and it’s started with the sites we usually just scroll through and leave for cheaper alternatives. Think Net-A-Porter, Farfetch, Ssense, Saks – you know what I’m talking about. Here’s my list of said eye candy shoes which are now up to 60% off. The closer we get to the weekend, the bigger and more widespread the memorial day sales will get, so I’ll probably do another round up then. Lock up your wallets. Miu
Sorry but there is just too much good shoe porn out there. These are the latest that caught my eye. Attico croc effect mules Who What Wear Emma bucket slides H&M velvet slides (these look better in real life than online – per my Snapchat preview) Prada suede mules (the shoe of the moment. comes in black and pink too) Carvela Kurt Geiger Kando pearl sandals Topshop Gina V Cut flare heels Carvela Kurt Geiger pearl sandals in black (for those who’ve give up finding the Zara
Since returning from St. Lucia, my interest in a half exposed foot has gone into over drive. I blame it on my annual one eye on Spring in mid January thing. Although I will say that desire was there well before I left, evidenced by Exihibit A – the above photo that I instagrammed around November. The mule screams lady-like. It’s Sophia Loren in Italy (bare with me) and trust me, she got the power of a kitten heel. Currently mules are a match made in heaven with straight jeans
I’m tired of buyers remorse. It’s happened to me for years and my bending wardrobe rail keeps reminding me. With that rail in mind, I shop the sales more carefully. Will I really wear it? Is this something I lusted after at full price? Is this a classic piece that my wardrobe badly needed? These are the main questions. I’m sure you have your own. Above is a round up of a few justified wear now/wear later pieces currently on sale that can be layered with knits and coats now
Click through at your peril. Sounds like cheese but it’s true. As if Black Friday wasn’t enough, Cyber Monday swings around with another wave, but to be honest, this is your last chance for Christmas gifting deals before having to pay full price. This is my round up of stand outs with discount codes (a few are shown above but below is the full list): Stuart Weitzman 40% off their sought after boots!!! AllSaints – 30% off everything. Code: CYBER. Gift yourself or your other
I have always had a thing for platform boots. It’s the nineties grunge itch. Doesn’t go away. It just hibernates for a couple of years then re-surfaces. I shoot people wearing them and say eff you to the theory that they make your feet look bigger – remember that 2013 post on that black pair? Vetements gets it (or have lost their God damn mind). They’ve elevated punk grunge to designer status with their clothing line and their current take on platform boots.
The amount of velvet footwear for sale is staggering. This is a guide to some of the best ones out there. First off, classic styles don’t date. I’ve had my blue velvet cowboy boots for about four or five years and love them as much as the first day they delivered. My friend bought the above Dries Van Noten velvet boots which have almost sold out worldwide, but once scored I reckon they will last for years and justify the spend. The below silver grey pair (insert scream face
Still can’t believe that it’s really time, but here are a few pieces for next season that are on my mind. One group is low end, the other is high. I feel like there is at least one take away here so tell me your favorite. . . . Before I speech, click the photo to see 10 alternative loafer slides I found… Back to the above: Knowing my gravitational pull to men’s styles (hello), I brooded over these Gucci Princetown leather slippers from afar. Months passed and I did not cave. Until spring started. I committed the cardinal sin of trying them on didn’t I (plus trying on the metallics – oh God are they good) “just to see.” That was my mistake. From then the search for a pair in my
