Photo via: @rutaenrouteYou've seen the movie: a woman is too cold and too tired and too bothered to put on a proper outfit, so she throws on sweats and heads to the grocery store. She then spots several people that she went to college with and has to duck behind a row of organic chips. That should never be the case, even in the coldest of winters. When you need a quick and easy outfit to wear for casual days, look to Instagram. This blogger inspired us to ditch our leggings in favor of a hoodie,
Ah that light in Milan Italy. I’m sure dusk or golden light as it’s called is the same anywhere but against the old buildings it was just magical. Sorry – I had to get a bit cheesy but it’s true. I literally wore part of my weekend suitcase all at once: a Zara long sleeved green dress layered with a black and white stripe skirt from Topshop. It wasn’t what I was planning but it was welcome unexpected layers. The Ganni boots show no signs of waning as evidence
We had an unusually cold winter this year and after repeating the same boring black hoodie, black leggings and black sneakers for what felt like the hundredth time, I decided to look for something a little more fun. Because sometimes, only a sweatshirt will do. A t-shirt just doesn't hug you in the same way, and a sweater can be scratchy, but a sweatshirt is the epitome of comfort. I styled my new "fun" sweatshirt for two different weather situations, and I rounded up even more options below.
Wearing: Georgia Alice top, Georgia Alice pants, By Far shoes, Simon Miller bag, Elizabeth and James sunglassesWhat’s your office style? Even if you’re lucky enough to wear jeans, and in this millennial, freelancing and entrepreneur society there might actually be a few of you, you still have to look and feel professional. Rolling into work with unbrushed hair and clothes your found on the floor of your room is not going to win you professional credibility.A pair of black pants you
So my trip to Milan Italy is over. I returned on Tuesday and took in what is probably the greatest dream for any shoe-a-holic: visiting a shoe trade show. Not just any trade show, this was the MICAM show in Milan which is probably the mothership of all footwear shows. With over 1,400 exhibitors, the event featured shoe vendors sharing future season shoe styles with wholesale buyers and I was invited to witness it all. Being a trade show, photographs were not allowed, but I did have
Inspiration: American Eagle Feels so good to be up around after being sick all week, and this gingham top I've been saving was just the ticket. It will look great with white jeans or shorts this summer, but in the meantime, the inspiration photo gave me an idea for wearing it now. I'm loving how black booties and a western belt give it a little edgy vibe. I also ordered the blue ruffle sleeve top from JCPenney, below - a great "work
Wearing: Alexis wrap top, JBrand jeans, Elizabeth Cole earrings, By Far shoes I don’t incorporate many patterns or prints in my wardrobe, but that’s starting to quickly change with the addition of a couple of polka dot pieces. Keeping it classic is key, like this wrap blouse. I’ve also added this reformation dress which i’ve worn to a friends wedding and just purchased this Realisation Par day dress as well, both have that similar wrap style I find very flattering. Photos
Is it just me or do I need a few more pointy toe shoes and dare I say it, pink pieces in my life? I picked out three different casual smart looks from INC’s International Concepts that are essentially based around those two wardrobe ‘holes’ as I call it. First is the light green pearl-accented sweater that I paired with go with everything black skinny jeans and these jaw dropping t-strap heels. The snake clutch would dress up anything. Imagine holding it over a coat? The
