Click on the items to shop! I picked out some timeless essentials for a perfect spring wardrobe. You guys know I like to jazz it up with vintage, but I’d be lost without perfect foundation pieces like these. I am always on the lookout for that perfect crossbody bag that isn’t too flashy and goes with everything. Same for the perfect fitting tee. Hope you are having some glorious spring weather to wear these pieces wherever you are! The post CAPSULE WARDROBE-the
We’ve had two dreary weeks of non-stop rain. I love spring storms but after ten days of clouds, you can start to feel a little down in the dumps. When I woke up on Monday to yet another gloomy forecast, I decided to a) put on something other than a grungy old sweater and b) get out of the house and do something fun that would brighten my mood! One of my favorite rainy day hideaways is the cafe at Village Baking Co. My boyfriend and I are pastry fanatics, and we love to bake at home
How good is this dress? I’m a huge Christophe Lemaire fan and pieces like this are exactly why. The seer sucker fabric is so nice for this weather and hangs with structure. Such a flattering piece. You can find the dress here! Shoes are Celine from Yoox and bag is Ferragamo. This dress is sold out in certain sizes, you might try here too if you are looking for your size. This dress is an amazing 80s-does-50s piece from one of my favorite designers Jan Barboglio. I have been wearing this so much lately, it makes me so happy! Such amazing detail in such a simple design. Wearing vintage dress (similar vibe here) with a Lagos del Mundo tote, straw boater hat, and Stuart Weitzman heels. I bought this beautiful skirt online and it arrived with a note from the seller saying that it’s original owner had a climate-controlled vault built in her home to store her clothes. This skirt is around 60 years old and is in brand new condition! I love finding items with stories like that. Now if only I could have a vault to store my clothes in…!It’s unusual find a skirt like this in silk. You can’t see very well but it has rhinestones and studs throughout the
I have special memories of Bulgari’s B.zero1 designs …they remind me of my magical trip to Rome last summer. We spent a few days on a whirlwind tour, shooting a video for the B.zero1 collection. It was wonderful seeing the Eternal City in a new light. On this new journey Bulgari introduced me to the new styles in the iconic B.zero1 collection. Created by mistake, when the original B.zero1 was introduced, these styles have remained have remained a secret until now. These pieces speak to
I’m going to let you in on a shoe search I constantly do….I’m obsessed with looking at Casadei’s shoes on Yoox! They usually get really discounted, and from time to time an insane pair like these red ankle boots will pop up. These boots are not mine, they are my mom’s! They are the shoe I covet the most from her closet. She has a couple of Casadei shoes she snagged on Yoox that are totally out of this world. Right now I have my eyes on these gold cowboy boots! I
My new years resolution to step up my fitness game has left me very sore and made me neglectful of all of my less-than-comfy shoes lately. I’m so grateful for these Adidas and this warm bomber coat this week! Wearing a pinstripe blue dress with an oversized bomber coat, Gucci handbag, and Adidas Superstar sneakers. Mid-calf boots and anything in grey cashmere are style mainstays for me, especially as the chill of December sets in! I am loving the 70s vibe of these Marc Fisher LTD tassel booties! I wore them for a shopping trip to one of my favorite haunts in Dallas, the Joule Hotel. I have to pop into Ten Over Six whenever I’m there, they carry all of my favorite denim and have fantastic home goods! I referenced one of my favorite movies, Eyes of Laura Mars, to style this outfit. I love mid-calf

I couldn’t say no to this hanging macrame lamp! Now that our house is painted I can get down to business decorating it. Can’t wait to show you guys! It’s definitely a work in progress right now…we are still waiting on most of our furniture to arrive. Wearing Polo Ralph Lauren jeans with a fleece turtleneck and Tabitha Simmons sparkly sandals. It is finally Friday! So ready for a relaxing weekend spent putting together our new home. We just moved in! I will be wearing these Prada sandals day and night. They are a recent acquisition and have quickly become my go-to shoes! This heel height is perfect. I love how cute they look with a sloppy sweater and boyfriend jeans. Wearing Prada buckle slingback sandals with a cable knit turtleneck and vintage boyfriend jeans. Here wearing the sandals with an 80s trench dress while taking my
I picked up this 1950s Suzy Perette dress I found at the flea market I went to last week. I have read a few places that Suzy Perette was on of the few companies licensed to reproduce some of Dior’s “New Look” patterns, but I can’t find any verification of this rumor! The dresses they produced in the 1950s were exquisite. One of my very favorite Texas-born designers Victor Costa went on to work under the Suzy Perette label in the late sixties/early seventies. I get very
Click on the shoes to sale shop! It’s the most dangerous time of the year. Why am I cursed with this terrible love of shoes? So many shoes I’ve swooned over have been majorly marked down. Hopefully an extra slice of pumpkin pie will quell my desire to indulge! I hope all my state-side readers are having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy the turkey!
